Ingredients

  • 12 oysters shucked, on half shell
  • 1 stick butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 3 tsp parsley divided
  • 1 lemon 1/2 juiced, 1/2 wedges
  • 1 tsp worscestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, combine butter, 2 teaspoons parsley, grated parmesan, garlic, worcestershire, hot sauce, lemon juice, salt and black pepper. Set to the side.
  • Shuck oysters. If you have a place that will shuck them for you and leave them on the half shell, even better to cut down prep time.
  • Take a heaping spoonful of the seasoned butter and put on top of the oysters. This will ensure there is a generous portion of the sauce on each oyster to cook in.
  • Place oysters on a charcoal grill. Make sure it's on the hottest part of the grill. If you only have a gas grill you can still make this recipe. Just make sure it's on high heat and on the hottest spot. Close lid and cook for 5 minutes.
  • You will know it's done when the oyster's edges curl and the garlic butter sauce is bubbling. Serve hot garnished with fresh parsley and lemon wedges.
