Chicken Piccata pasta is a classic Italian dish that is chicken breast lightly fried in olive oil and pasta that are both tossed in a lemon caper sauce. This zesty pasta dish is full of delicious flavor and the perfect weeknight dinner. There are many restaurant versions but I think this one is a great recipe to please the entire family for a pasta dinner at home. You can use your favorite pasta in this dish if the popular angel hair pasta isn't what you are in the mood for and the end result will still be the same.

    Chicken Piccata Ingredients

Chicken- Boneless skinless chicken breasts are used for this recipe. A thin cutlet if you can buy it but if not butterflying and pounding the piece of chicken thin would work as well.

Capers- Briny capers are a key ingredient! Gives bursts of salty and tanginess to the chicken.

Lemon Juice- Brings acidity and brightness to the piccata sauce. Fresh lemons are best.

White Wine- Wines like Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, or Sauvignon Blanc are good choices.

Pasta- Popular pasta choice is angel hair pasta but you can also use thin spaghetti, penne, or farfelle. It's all personal preference.

Let's Make This Easy Chicken Piccata Pasta Recipe!

If you are using whole chicken breasts, Cut the chicken into thinner cutlets and pound out.

seasoned flour ingredients in a shallow black bowl
