Easy White Sausage Gravy

Ingredients – 6 oz breakfast sausage – 3 tbsp flour – 1 1/2 cup milk – 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper – 1/8 tsp dried rosemary – 1/8 tsp onion powder – 1/8 tsp kosher salt – 1/2 tsp black pepper

Place sausage in a large skillet or cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and cook through. If there are large pieces of sausage, break with wooden spoon.

Add flour to the hot pan of cooked sausage. Stir flour to absorb sausage drippings which will help thicken the gravy. Cook for a minute to cook out the raw flour.

Lower to medium-low heat and stir in the milk scraping up the browned bits. Add in all seasonings and cook until thickened to your preference.
