The basic garden salad consisting of lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and onion although good can be rather boring boring. If you are looking to shake things up then you NEED to try this salad. Actually even if you aren't you still need to try this salad because it's just that good. The arugula gives it that peppery taste, strawberries for sweetness, feta for saltiness and honey roasted chipotle almonds for crunch and a kick. It has so many flavors and textures going on at once that it's sure to win you over and become your new favorite salad.
Ingredients
Serves 3
5 ounces of Arugula
1/3 cup almonds (rough chopped)
1/2 cup sliced strawberries
1/4 cup feta
1/4 cup sliced red onion
Visual Recipe
Put the arugula into a large bowl.
Slice 1/2 cup worth of strawberries.
Slice 1/4 cup worth of red onion.
Add them to the bowl of arugula.
Rough chop the almonds.
Throw those on top of the salad.
Add the feta cheese.
Mix everything together evenly distributing the ingredients.
