Grilled Brazilian pineapple is a delicious dessert you can get while eating at a Brazilian steakhouse. They come around with the grilled pineapple on a skewer and serve it to you table side like they do the other grilled meat dishes. The first bite is an experience because you get this warm, juicy pineapple with the added bonus of cinnamon sugar. Haven't been to a Brazilian restaurant? No problem because this easy recipe can be made at home for a lot less. This would be the perfect addition to your summer bbq. If it is no longer grilling season, you can make this exact recipe by grilling pineapple wedges on a preheated grill pan on the stove. They will still be juicy perfection.

    Grilled Pineapple Ingredients

Pineapple- I would suggest using fresh pineapple for this recipe. Canned or frozen will not have the same outcome.

Butter- Because everything is better with butter. It helps the glaze come together.

Cinnamon- Adds a warm spice (not heat) to the fruit.

Brown Sugar- This helps the glaze from the molasses content.

Honey- For a touch more sweetness.

On an outdoor grill, place pineapple wedges in a single layer on the grill over medium-high heat. Cook for 4-5 minutes then turn to cook for an additional 4-5 minutes.

    Tips For Serving Grilled Pineapple

You can serve it on it's own which would be a delicious side dish to grilled pork dishes.

For easier handling, serve it on a stick as pineapple skewers. Place on sticks before adding glaze.

Serve with vanilla ice cream which is my personal favorite for a great dessert.

Chopping and adding to a fruit salad is a fun and delicious way to take it to a whole new level.
